Library
RTE establishes, as necessary, that the creation of small
libraries in establishments such as: accommodation, tourist
information centers and complementary activity enterprises.
The Library must have:
- Local literature
- Information of culture and nature activities: books, magazines,
newspaper, etc.
- Maps of the region: cartographic, thematic and tourist.
- Information about schedules public transports (Bus, train,
etc.).
- A personal computer connected to Internet and with a CD
ROM.
- Information on other RTE destinations.
- An exchange of publications among all the members of RTE.
Note: The library does not need to have a minimum number
of publications.
The computer is optional for the first phase (First year).
2. Local music
Rte establishes necessary that an approximate of 25% of
the
music played at the restaurants, local activities enterprises
and accommodations should be of local tradition, and the
50 % at the craftsmanship and local product shops and tourist
information office.
It is recommended that CDs and tapes of local music are
sold at the different establishments.
3. Images
Restaurants, accommodations and tourist information centers
should display informational videos about the culture and
nature of the destination. This should be done permanently
or semi permanently.
Videos can be auto edited or edited by a private
company or national company.
The videos should include images and information of other
RTE destinations.
4. Gastronomy
Rural Taste of Europe establishes as necessary that the
restaurant industry possesses:
- A special menu with traditional food should be offered:
40 % typical food.
- Tourist daily menu: one traditional dish with its interpretative
history.
- Organic / Natural foods: Range of 10 to 50 %.
- Local products should be used and also offered for sale.
- Dishes cooked with organic/natural food and
historic-plates should be offered with their
respective explanation, history, legends, ecology, etc.
- A variety of product and food that are traditional of
other RTE members.
